The AEC (Asset Examination Committee) was set up by the junta after the Coup.
The idea of this so called war machine was to nail Thaksin through many corruption cases. Great.
15 months after, zero results, and a victory of Thaksin’s nominees at the elections after… we are swimming into farcical waters !
Chairman of the Asset Examination Committee (AEC) Nam Yimyaem revealed that he has not yet been informed that the Budget Office has denied an AEC request for 19 million baht in additional funding.
The AEC though states that the matter will not affect the performance of the organization as it has implemented several money saving measures. The committee has reduced its number of organization vehicles from three cars to two as well as reducing personnel. (PRD)
The guys are running out of money. They asked for a new budget, and dumped one car.. 
I mean it’s huge.
And after, why not public donations ? ”The ASC has considered the options and it is thinking about raising funds from the public” (Bangkok Post)
