Gvt revenues : +4,4 % on 4 months, but fall in january

Government revenue in the first four months of the fiscal year (from october 1 to january 31) were up 4,4 % compare to the same period of previous year, at 421,7 billions THB (Nation).

However, january showed a a fall of 6,9 % compare to january 2007, at 96,4 billions THB. Slight accident ? Or a trend ?
The BOT gives the figures (but without details) until december (here). As for the Ministry of Finance, its website is a real shame : its database is available only a few days per month.

However, you’ll find there the details by department (Revenue, Customs, Excises) and by type of taxes (VAT for instance). The details are important, much more than the total collected.

So stay tuned, I will update the charts (here and here), as soon as the MOF will be back on line.
