A monk used HI5.com… “we could block the website”

bozo.jpg

Oh my god… Another bozo.. The IT Minister under the Junta was already highly… special (YouTube blocked and guns collection among other goodies)… But it seems that with the new Prime Minister’s Office Minister we have another winner

Category Olympic Gold Platinum Medal.

The Prime Minister’s Office Minister Jakrapob Penkair has ordered the Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) ministry to keep a close watch on the use of social networking site www.hi5.com after it emerged a Buddhist monk had been using the site to woo women.

“I am upset by this,” he admitted. “Any sort of misdeed caused by monks results in the deterioration of Buddhism.”

Mr Jakrapob has already consulted with ICT ministry officials to lay down possible measures to ensure that something like this does not recur.

“We are still determining the pros and cons of blocking the site altogether,” he said. (Bangkok Post)

I don’t even have the energy to comment this new “pearl”.

The Minister should not check the “deterioration” of Buddhism… But instead the deterioration of his brain. Definitely.

Just another perfectly normal day in Thailand. ;-)

Don’t worry, it’s perfectly normal as ICT can get.

All their solutions was to BLOCK BLOCK BLOCK THE DAMNED WEBSITES!

The government were as stupid as ICT, go figure.
