The Queen has been hospitalized sunday 9 march (early in the morning), suffering from “fever and coughing“.
The Bureau of the Royal Household has issued its 5th statement concerning recovery of Her Majesty the Queen which reports that physicians administering care to Her Majesty have revealed that Her Majesty no longer is exhibiting symptoms of the influenza A, or the flu. The doctors stated further that Her Majesty is still experiencing a slight cough but in general is doing much better.
Tests done by the medical team have however discovered an infection of Her Majesty the Queen’s sinuses, which they will treat with medication further.
Her Majesty the Queen entered into care at Chulalongkorn Hospital last weekend with a cough and symptoms of bronchitis. Tests by medical personnel found Her Majesty to have influenza A, or a common flu, prompting them to request Her Majesty to remain for care and monitoring for an additional two weeks. (PRD)
We can note that Chulalongkorn is not the regular hospital used by the royal family (its Siriraj Hospital).
The Queen is 75 years old.
UPDATE
The Queen left the hospital sunday march 23.
