Don’t panic !
The news on inflation front are bad… Therefore, the Brigades On Psychedelic Drugs are coming out the woods.
The Bank of Thailand (BOT) yesterday said inflation remained within its forecast range and under control. Economic assumptions and figures will be revised at a meeting of its Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) next Wednesday.
“Actual headline inflation was in the upper range of the forecast, and actual core inflation was in line with the projection,” said BOT senior director Amara, adding that a decline in crude-oil prices and the Commerce Ministry’s price-control policy could cool down worries over price hikes and keep inflation expectations intact. Amara is shortsighted. Amara is the archetype of thai “directors”. Whatever the circumstances are, they think they speak to peasants and workers, allowing them to say every kind of conceiveable crap… without any consequence.
Amara should explain what the people have to gain from a “price-control policy“… that does only one thing : “keep inflation expectations intact“. For how long ? 
She probably thinks -sincerely- that it’s enough to declare inflation “illegal” in order to solve the problem.
Anyway. She has already lost the war (before to loose face) : inflation, at annual rate, will be higher than BOT’s forecasts.
