Mr Kasit should resign regardless if charges stick and the Dems should try and get former Ambassador to the US Tej Bunnag back in the Foreign Minister post. Mr Tej is highly respected with an unblemished record.

After Mr Thaksin's lawyer/Samak Govt Foreign Minister Noppadon's dutiful servant bungling of Preah Vear, Mr Tej very reluctantly accepted the role.

He resigned immediately after Mr Samak's alleged 'engineered' state of emergency. Bring back Khun Tej (if he's not fed up with it all already).

There's the elite and then there's the über elite. PAD thought they were the créme de la créme of society and now realize they were used by the über elite.

Hell hath no fury like a millionaire scorned (by a billionaire)

Too bad Thailand will lose its first productive FM; this guy seemed to be the most active FM in a long time for Thailand. Oh well, back to business as usual in the Land of Smiles, where dirty money talks and intellectual royalists walk.

Likely to aggravate the PAD considerably. This, combined with the assassination attempt on Sondhi will be making them feel very unloved, and rejected by the same elites that were behind them, and whom they now embarrass.

PAD and Puea Thai have more in common than people think. Together they would kick some serious ass, though the problem of autocracy and autocratic mindsets is endemic within the Thai psyche so that will need to be monitored and managed.
