Government House still occupied ? Let’s build a new one !

How deep is the Rabbit Hole ? How far can we stretch the word “Wonder” in Thaiwonderland ? Here is a hint.

Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat said his government may build a new Government House complex because the current one has been aged and may need a lot of money for restoration.

He said if the People’s Alliance for Democracy occupies the Government House for too long, the government may have to build a new one.

He said the current one may be turned into a museum and a new Government House complex may be built in a location with better security. (Nation)

Nice thai way to dodge the problem. In Thailand you don’t face a problem. You bypass it, or you just say that it doesn’t exist.

The Government House is occupied by the PAD since end of august… Almost 3 freaking months. It’s probably a world record, something never seen in history. But no problem ! Let’s just build a new one. 😉

Meanwhile the alleged government is working (ah ah ah) in… an old airport (read here)…

In Thailand you don’t face a problem. You bypass it, or you just say that it doesn’t exist : it s so true, maybe the autor has a thai wife like me…

This piece of news does not make even a small headline at all in Thailand.

Thaksin and Potjaman has filed a divorce at Thailand Consulate Office in Hong Kong. You should have updated this.

Well I did : on an old post (may 2008)

    😉

    I’m lazy.

But honestly, it’s not really interesting…

    Let’s be clear :
-all thai politicians have mistresses, so there is no point to… point the finger at one specific politician.
    -Thaksin’s life is rather complicated since… 2 years… 😉
-therefore nothing more natural if the pressure within the couple reached the point of non-return
-but of course we can’t discard a “manoeuvre” (a legal divorce for assets preservation, or to protect Pojaman)

    Let’s talk politics, economy.

But who sleeps with who and the analysis of the dirty bed sheets… well it’s not really my “cup of tea”.

    TC

There is another theory arising besides the mistress and asset manoeuvre ones. They might hope that Potjaman, distancing herself legally from Thaksin, would be able to enter Britain again.

If the divorce were for nothing, Pongthep Thepkarnjana, Thaksin’s closest underling, would not have come out cool about it.

This couple can do anything just to achieve their goal. Thaksin was remoured to have kowtowed and kneed down on the late Supreme Army Commander Sunthorn Kongsompong, begging for the monopolistic satellite and phone directory concessions.

SOMCHAI tops SAMAK by lightyears. TC, you need to create a new category – BOZO-like isn’t good enough to describe the PM’s statements. Here is his latest comment:

(BangkokPost.com) – Prime Minister and Defence Minister Somchai Wongsawat said on Sunday that the impending cabinet reshuffle will see no big or minor changes. The premier said he has decided who will be appointed to the cabinet, but he needs to speak to them first. He said the ministers who reportedly had problems with their works would not be removed. There are no conflicts within the government, he affirmed. The prime minister said the coalition parties have not requested the government to adjust the cabinet quota yet. The reshuffle should be implemented after the royal cremation ceremonies for Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana, but specific dates have yet to be set, according to Mr Somchai.

He avoided answering whether he will appoint Gen Panlop Pinmanee as the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) director. He also refused to discuss the divorce of ousted prime minister and brother-in-law Thaksin Shinawatra and Khunying Potjaman, claiming it was a personal matter.

At the first secton: No major and no minor reshuffle – no reshuffle? middle reshuffle? What does he try to tell us?
The ministers who have problem with there work will not be removed !!! ill the PM only remove the ones which are doing a good job? And replace them with ministers which “will have problem with there work”? Let’s put together a completely incompetent cabinet instead of a partaly incompetent cabinet?
Nobody should be more efficient and competent than the PM. So let’s lower the loevel of the ministers. Poor Thailand.

At the secon section: I don’t know, I don’t say anything, non of my business … The standard answer of Somchai. What is he paid for? For knowing nothing?
