The “government” is still in exile in Chiang Mai

According to the Deputy Commerce Minister Banyin Tangpaporn the weekly Cabinet meeting will take place tomorrow at Chiang Mai Province city hall. (TOC)

Somchai, the alleged Prime Minister, probably doesn’t understand the devastating effects of his flight to Chiang Mai.

The “government” lost first the Government House (since august, occupied by the PAD), and now is going into exile…

We have a national crisis since a few months… but mister brother-in-law thought it was more urgent to go to Peru to kiss llamas’ arses (for an inane meeting of… APEC) … And then, when he came back last week, he was scared to be deposed by a coup. So he fled to… Chiang Mai.

It’s a shame. How can he pretend to show any authority after ?

So can the alleged Prime Minister explain to the thai people why he’s still in Chiang Mai ? Almost one week after his return ?

And how long this situation will continue ? And are the army forces a real threat ? If yes, why the alleged Prime Minister doesn’t denounce publicly this fact ?

Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat and his Cabinet are scheduled to attend the military parade in Bangkok, presided over by Their Majesties the King and the Queen. (Nation)

This is the annual military parade on the Royal Plaza… Tuesday… We will see if the alleged Prime Minister will come.

He is now in exile in the de facto capital of newly created Republic of Shinland. 🙂

BTW, Jatuporn Prompan has called for UDD Red Shirts’ gathering in front of the Constitution Court as a show of force against the Court Judges tomorrow!!!

Well, I pretty sure you are already aware that Thailand has been ranked 7th among the most dangerous countries to visit on earth resulting from recent political turmoils & terrorism, along side with India, Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan and Israel (list compiled by the UK’s Daily Telegraph).

Thailand is also ranked 2nd most dangerous country in Asia (the first one being India I guess).

In many other countries where the rights of a sizable bloc of the population have had their rights revoked or been disenfranchised (in Thailand’s case at present, the people of the North and Northeast who are about half of Thailand’s population), there have been successionist movements with their own government and new capital in the middle of their geographical territory.

If you look at it this way, Somchai and the cabinet relocating to Chiang Mai has a kind of logic. It removes them from the danger of assassination or arrest and makes a coup in Bangkok problematical as the coup leaders would only control central and southern Thailand, not the North and Northeast, which they would actually have to “invade” in order to control.

    Yes Chris.
But what I criticize is always this damned thai hypocrisy !

    It makes me sick.

Somchai should dare to speak up !

Enough of all those hide and seek games, cat and mouse games, in which nobody dare to say the truth.

This country is fucked up, with a huge coming institutionnal crisis… French use this expression : “End of reign”. And it’s always an expression linked to troubles and violence.

And this is what we are living (only the beginning)… Article on this issue scheduled for tomorrow.

But yet, taboos everywhere. The thais are unable to speak, think and handle the ugly face of reality. Better to talk non-sense, childish rethoric, bullshit issues, mind vaporware etc.

So Somchai would like to declare the independance of the north ? Fair enough. 😉

But he should speak. Explain to the people the problem with the army for instance etc.

And stop turning around the pot with “Thai must love each other”, “Unity” and all the bullshit zen master sold 10 THB at Tesco Lotus arround the corner. 😉

They’re driving me crazy oh my god…. I won’t be able to take it longer. 😉
