The Social Security Office (SSO) is set to present a list of social security holders eligible for the 2,000-baht aid plan to the Parliament this January 28th.
Secretary-General of the SSO Pun Wunnapinij spoke of a plan to distribute 2,000 baht to social security holders throughout the Kingdom with a monthly income below 14,999 baht, saying that this January 28th a list of eligible citizens’ bank accounts amassed by the SSO will be presented to the House of Representatives for consideration on February 10th-11th.
The accounts will then be forwarded to the Senate where, if approved, they will pend Royal Endorsement potentially on February 24th. A plan for the office’s mid-year budget of 115 billion baht will also be attached to the presentation. (PRD)
I must admit : I’m lost.
The special allowance of 2000 THB is supposed to be paid in april. A parliamentary procedure is rather strange. I mean : what are they going to do with this huge listing (between 8 and 10 millions people could benefit) ? Read it ? 😉
