The clowns and Sondhi’s Case : the alleged “suspect” sues… the police !

In Thai Lala Land everything is possible.

Army Master Sergeant Panya Srihaera – wanted over the assassination attempt on media mogul Sondhi Limthongkujl – Monday filed suit against Deputy National Police Chief Thanee Somboonsap and other police, accusing them of malfeasance in office.

Panya, from the Lop Buri Special Warfare Centre but still being sought by police, said he had lost his job because of their accusations against him.

Panya has had his lawyer Banyat Jityen file suit against Thanee, chief investigator of the Sondhi case, and Pol Colonel Wicharnwat Borrirakkul, an investigator with the Metropolitan Police Bureau, accusing them of violating Article 157 and 200 of the Criminal Law. (Nation)

After the people who refuse to acknowledge charges against them, leaving the police “baffled by unprecedented legal tactic” (read here)… here is the “fugitive suspect” who sues… the police !

The Sondhi’s Case is a now a full and total thai drama. Even the alleged Prime Minister has fallen into the trap… He’s fighting with the Chief Of Police about “forced holidays” (read here).

Where will it stop ?

How can we take seriously those clowns ? This country ?

I feel really depressed. I need a fix of Jon Lajoie.

Where is Thailand going! This is ridicilous and not good for Thailands reputation. People around the world are laughing,

Nice legal maneuver, not even Taksin thought of that one. Truly an epic drama to behold, even puts the Thai soaps to shame.

Oh, phooey! Nobody cares enough about Thailand to laugh at it. A few who accidentally read the story may be puzzled by the bizarre events, but they will have Thailand confused with Taiwan. I think this is absolutely delightful. Just Like PAD negotiating with the “investigators” about what they might be charged with.

Or indeed deciding not to follow the time-honoured procedure for handling miscreants, thereby completely confusing the police so they had to go for a nice lie down.

    confusing the police.

    confusing the police.

Dear God… please let this all be a horrible dream.

    I don’t know.

I fear they might be having the last laugh because they’d rather we laugh at them and get back to shopping or whatever than be mad and take to the streets demanding more responsible government.

In any developed country, even in highly litigious America, the idea of suing the police while they were investigating you would be a joke. You would be immediately laughed out of court and probably ordered to pay the defendant’s costs. These silly “defamation” suits are making Thailand look silly in the World.
