Abhisit The Extraterrestrial : “I haven’t talked to my secretary-general”

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva refused to say whether his secretary-general Niphon Prompan has resigned on Thursday, saying he had not seen Mr Niphon yet.

“I haven’t met him … haven’t talked to him. Mr Niphon is sick,” Mr Abhisit said.

Local media suspected that Mr Niphon might have resigned following the appointment of Pol Gen Pateep Tanprasert as acting police chief.

Mr Niphon backed Pol Gen Chumpol Manmai as the new national police chief, but the prime minister nominated Pol Gen Pateep for the police top post.

The selection of the new police chief is still in limbo after Mr Abhisit failed to gain majority support from the board of the Royal Thai Police. (Bangkok Post)

We knew Abhisit was totally burned out. Now we know he can also be ridiculous and pathetic. 😉

But still highly entertaining.

It reminds me… the movie E.T….. “E.T phone home”. “Abhisit phone Niphon”. Yeah, it sounds good.

The question remains though…. : Abhisit is E.T. Or the child ? Or… maybe… both ?

That phase “I haven’t met him, didn’t see him, and didnt get any report” sound peculiar familiar……. oh yes its from his world class mentor, Chuan!!

Somewhat unexpectedly, BP has an interesting discussion on the police chief problem at http://bangkokpundit.blogspot.com/2009/10/looking-at-police-chief-appointment.html#disqus_thread.

Aladdin appears to be throwing some light into dark corners with his lamp.
