Minister of Energy Poonpirom Lipatapunlop commented on PTT preparing to adjust the price of NGV to 12 baht per kilogram next year, up from the present price of 8.50 baht.
Poonpirom stated that the matter is inline with Cabinet approval but nonetheless, the Energy Ministry will attempt to hold NGV prices at 8.50 baht until the end of the year and reconsider the price adjustment next year. (PRD)
Shocked ? We are saved… until next year. And this hike could not materialize… or even be worse.
The point is : it’s just a reminder that the good bargain of NGV is due also to subsidie…
The same will happen with LPG (prices were very low because Thailand produces LPG… but now the demand exceeds production so PTT must import LPG… and the prices on the world market are much higher. Of course).
